Florquin

This room is located on the second floor of the Convent of Chièvres. To reach the building, walk from the parking lot over the authentic cobblestones a bit through the Great Beguinage.

A bit of history

Joos Florquin (1916-1978) was known for the television program “Hier Spreekt men Nederlands” and the interview program "Ten Huize van. He set up what is now the Florquin Hall as an experimental chamber theater for his students and started a summer course in Dutch for non-native speakers, which is still organized at KU Leuven.
