Swerius

This room is located on the second floor of the Infirmerie building. Because we wanted to preserve the authentic character of our buildings, unfortunately we could not provide an elevator.

A piece of history

This room is named after the three Swerius sisters: Anna, Barbara and Maria Magdalena, who are all buried in the Beguinage Church. Only Maria Magdalena lived in the court as a beguine, presumably along with her sisters. The well-preserved hoisting wheel in this room recalls the time when this floor served as a storage attic.
