Obviously, all our rooms are equipped with WiFi. Thanks to the air conditioning you can hold your meetings in a pleasant, efficient and unique historic setting even during the summer. Or would you rather meet outside when the weather is nice? You can – in our Garden Lounge.

Our cosy co-working lounge Heymans with bar is a workplace, touch-down, and meeting point. Far away from the traffic jams and crowds of your own office space.
There is space for up to 30 people to be seated at a table or in a comfortable lounge chair.
The largest of the four available rooms, G. Lemaître, has sufficient room for up to 60 people and can be used for meetings and dinners. This room is equipped with a state-of-the-art interactive wall. This wall digitally supports the design process, from A to Z.
Salon Beernaert easily accommodates up to 20 people. The special character with comfortable seats and homely atmosphere creates an atmosphere in which you can think “out of the box”, relax or charge your batteries before another creative session.
Thanks to its modular arrangement, the De Duve room is the ideal environment to meet in peace and/or enjoy dinner. Here, we link creative with gourmet.
The old tea room was fully restored at the end of April and will continue life as the library. The library is available to enjoy a group lunch or dinner. There is enough space for 14 people. It is also possible to hold a small reception there.

The largest meeting room in the Convent van Chièvres is located in the former attic, originally only intended as a storage place, which occupies the entire rectangular area of the building.
Maria Magdalena van Hamal van Elderen (ca. 1460-1540) was the wife of Willem van Croÿ, after whom another room in this building is named. Willem was her second husband. Together they founded a Celestine convent in Heverlee, although sadly this no longer exists.
This room contains a high tech boardroom table with a fixed setup for 18 people.
St Barbara was one of the saints who were dropped from the official church calendar in 1969. Legend has it that her father locked her away in a tower in order to protect her from importunate suitors. This room is located on the first floor of the Convent van Chièvres. To reach this building, you walk from the car park some distance into the Grand Beguinage.
Joos Florquin converted the attic of the Convent van Chièvres (the room now known as Florquin) into an experimental ‘chamber theatre’ for his students of Germanic literature. He established a summer school that bore his name, and that is still held at the University of Leuven.
Maria Anna de Pape was a Leuven Beguine who died in the Grand Beguinage in 1680 at the age of 56 and is buried in the Church of St John the Baptist. This room is located on the first floor of the Convent van Chièvres.
This room is named after the three Swerius sisters: Anna (+ 1666), Barbara (+ 1671) and Maria Magdalena (+ 1690). All three are buried at the Beguinage church.
St Anne was the mother of the Virgin Mary. By tradition, she and her husband Joachim were prosperous, but childless. This room is located on the first floor of the Infirmary building.
Machtilt Roelants (+ 1396), after whom this room is named, was a Beguine in Leuven’s Grand Beguinage, and came from a leading Leuven family. This room is located on the ground floor of the Infirmary building, and is accessible to wheelchairs.
This room is part of the Infirmary building. From way back, this complex, which was similar to a hospital, was one of the important components of the Flemish Beguinages which usually go back to the 13th to 14th century.
The 16th century Heilige Geesttafel or ‘Table of the Holy Spirit’ was responsible for care for the poor in the Beguinage. However, it was not just a typical Beguine institution: virtually every parish had one.
This room is named after Elisabeth van Ophem. She was of noble origin and lived in the Beguinage, where she died on 29 April 1656; she was buried at the Church of St John the Baptist.
Most abbeys had a Bishop’s Room where important guests – not just bishops – stayed when they were visiting or passing through. In beguinages, this was not customary, however. The question therefore arises whether bishops or other important guests actually ever stayed in this room. Perhaps it was just a ‘superior’ guest room.
Begga (+ around 693) was the sister of St Gertrude of Nivelles. After her husband’s death, she founded a convent in Andenne. She is usually depicted holding a model of the convent church.
This room was named after Barbara Lipsius (+ 1706), who was Stewardess for five years and Mistress of the Table of the Holy Spirit for 18 years. Together with her sisters, Catharina and Johanna, she lived in the house that her parents had built in 1661.
The dilapidated Beguinage site was rescued from destruction in 1962 by the signing of an agreement transferring ownership to the University of Leuven (apart from the Church of St John the Baptist, which was only transferred after its restoration). This room is located on the ground floor of the Infirmary building, and is accessible to wheelchairs.
