This room is located on the ground floor of the Infirmary building, next to the lounge, and is wheelchair accessible.

A bit of history

Machtilt Roelants (+ 1396), after whom this room is named, was a beguine from the Leuven Great Beguinage and descended from a distinguished Leuven family. Among other things, her family donated a stained glass window to St. John the Baptist Church, although it has unfortunately disappeared. Machtilt herself is buried in the church.
