St. Gommarius

This luxurious meeting room is located on the second floor of the Convent of Chièvres. To reach the building, walk a short distance from the parking lot over the authentic cobblestones through the Great Beguinage.

The room is equipped with a high-tech boardroom table and offers a fixed setup for 18 participants. The screens are built into the table, with one screen for every two people, making for an efficient and modern meeting environment.

A piece of history

Saint Gommarus, born in the 8th century near Lier, was a knight at the court of Pepin of Herstal. After an unfortunate adultery, he retired as a hermit and became famous for his ability to help with broken legs. In Lier, he is considered the city's founder. His feast day is on October 11.
